Risena Xhaja is named head of the Seized and Confiscated Assets Administration Agency.

Xhaja comes to this position after a long experience in administration, at management levels. Previously, she held the position of General Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, from March 2023 to August 2024. Also, from March to July 2024, she held the position of Commanding Director at the Agency for Guarantee Management and irrecoverable state loans (AMGKP), during the period during which this agency managed to collect over 831 million ALL of irrecoverable obligations from third parties in terms of loans granted through state guarantee schemes.

Who is Risena Xhaja?
With a distinguished career of almost 20 years in public administration, Mrs. Xhaja has remained from 2019 to 2023 in the position of Deputy General Director of the State Cadastre Agency, as well as Head of the Appeal and Co-Governance structure and Commander in Chief in two Local Directories of this institution.

In 2019, she held the position of Secretary General at the Ministry of Culture. Member of the advisory body to the Minister of Justice for the execution of criminal decisions, Chairwoman of the Board of the University of Arts from 2019 to 2022.

In 2013, Director of the Legal and Agreements Department and from 2016 to 2019, in the position of General Director of Economic and Support Services, at the Ministry of Culture, simultaneously during this period he exercised the function of external financial inspector at the Ministry of Finance.

Xhaja began her career in public administration in June 2002, in the Legal Directorate, at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, where she continued, from 2006, to exercise the functions of Director in the Legal Directorate, Foreign Relations and Integration at the Ministry of Culture.
