However, there is still risk of floods across Serbia.
According to weather forecasts, rain is expected in Serbia in the next several days.

MUP Emergency Sector teams have been sent to all crisis areas and are on standby due to possible torrential floods.

MUP Emergency Sector Chief Predrag Marić said that there was no significant rise in the rivers’ water levels last night but that Emergency Situations Sector’s teams were on standby in case of any problems.

“The biggest risk of flooding is in the southern parts of Serbia, especially in the areas of Leskovac, Svrljig, Gadžin Han and Bor and in the western towns of Loznica, Krupanj and Ljubovija, where there are large numbers of mudslides,” he told B92.

Marić once again stressed that the rescue teams had been sent to the areas that could be flooded and that they were prepared to help the population if necessary.
